The Bungoona story is all about producing quality Red & Grey Brahman cattle. Established more than 40 years ago and is proudly owned and operated by Brett & Jane Kinnon and Family, on the prime Belyando cattle country at “Alinya” Station, Clermont, Queensland.

From the beginning we have been conscience of, depth of breeding, with the focus on productive, structurally sound cattle. Results in the show and sale rings are rewarding, but the Kinnon families run large commercial beef operations and we know that profit is only in cattle that perform in the paddock.

With the genetic strength and depth in our cow herd, the stud has moved into the modern beef market with quality, fertility and temperament. Imported grey sires, from JD Hudgins USA, and Red sires from both the USA and South Africa have impacted the herd with powerful beef traits. Searching for and securing leading genetics are paramount to our breeding program so we can meet the high standards of the Australian and world wide beef markets.

95% of our bulls are sold privately, through our bull depot “Kookaburra” at Clermont. With the 5% remaining sold as a Grey team at Brahman Week and a Red team at the PB Fenech sale.

We are a family operation with a love of what we do, and we believe hard work and dedication to a breeding program makes the difference to the finished product.
